Self-care:An Act of Worship and Stewardship

Worship is an act of self-care. Worship connects you to meaning, purpose and identity. It’s a time to pray, praise, reflect, express or meditate.

It helps you regulate your emotions, reduces anxiety and welcomes peace.

Regular worship should be a ritual- a stabilizing force. Like sleep or exercise, the act of worship creates rhythm and balance. It delivers a message of hope from the One who knows the end from the beginning.

When you show up for yourself in a sacred space in worship, you are reaffirming your belief in Him and pledging your allegiance to the One who knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb and ordained you for greatness.

Worship creates an atmosphere and opportunity for you to let go and find rest in His presence. In an atmosphere of worship, you surrender, forgive and express gratitude to your Lord, lover and leader. Surrender, gratitude and forgiveness are powerful tools for releasing burdens and embracing rest.

In communal worship, there is healing in being seen, supported and connected. Personal worship affirms that you are not alone in your spiritual walk with Christ.

Self-care is stewardship. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6 vs 19-20). “we are not our own, but rather we are bought at a price”. Self-care is not only an act of worship but also an act of stewardship.

Worship is a lifestyle-learn to stay true and through.

Let your light shine through in worship through the Word and warfare.

He created you to find purpose with every part of your body to give Him glory!
