Dear special needs kindred,
Have you looked in the mirror today? Take a moment to describe traits, quirks or qualities you are proud of. It could be your creativity, your humor, resilience, your empathy- whatever makes you unique. I’m sure you will discover any of these qualities if you do so repeatedly for the next twenty-one till it becomes a lifestyle.
While you have your mirror moments, speak to your body, soul and spirit. Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that your words are powerful and they shape your life.
Reframe the inner critic and take in daily doses of affirmations such as;
“I am enough!”
“I have a name and I should be identified by it!”
“I’m proud of myself!”
“I am full of life!
“I’m kind and I attract kindness!
“My worth is not up for debate”!
“I’m not broken—-I’m beautifully human”!
“I give myself permission to take up space”!
“I deserve to be seen, heard and respected“!
There’s strength in meekness
Taking care of myself is paramount
My feelings are valid
“I’m allowed to love myself through every version of me”!
Every step forward matters.
